I believe the Adler Barbour fridge aboard our 99 C36 MKII is original, so it's 20 yrs old. It keeps things pretty cold, but there seems to be a couple of issues.
1. Noise. It sounds like water is constantly draining from it, making me think that it's leaking fluid (it's not), but the constant dribbling sound makes you think fluid is leaking out. Its also noisy. The chugging sound makes me wonder if it's on its last legs.
2. It never stops. I'm wondering if the thermostat isn't working right.
Does anyone have any experience troubleshooting these issues? I know I've read that the port cockpit lazerette isn't the best spot for it, being well above the water line and with minimal air volume in the locker. Wondering if there are any simple fixes. Thx!

Ours was very noisy for years. It is very hard to pin point the source of the noise inside the locker. I pulled the whole unit out of the locker since there was a long coil of copper tubing and ran it on top of the port side seat. It became obvious the noise was from the Fan. It is a $10 computer fan. Runs nice and quiet now.
