Hi all,
I have have a 1985 Catalina 30 with a M-25 Universal engine. The rear exhaust gasket at the heat exchanger needs to be replaced and I cant find one. Any chance one of you have run into this problem and found a replacement part? I could really use some help.
Thank you so much,
Pat
Pat;
The gaskets for sealing the end of heat exchangers are a fairly common and inexpensive part. check out;

At Defender Marine;
The gaskets for the end caps can be two or three inches in diameter. If you order the three inch, you can always cut it down to two inches. Do forget to change the zinc while you have it out.

If you are talking about the exhaust flange gasket, a good source for Westerbeke/Universal parts is Hansen Marine in Marblehead, MA. I've used them over the years for both my M25 and M35B parts.

This is where I've gotten my m25 parts. Not sure if your asking for part #1 or 26/26A

Thank you all very much. I'm almost 100% sure its the exhaust flange gasket (#1) @ marinedieseldirect. It's square for sure, I need to go visit the boat.

I had noticed that on my 3" heat exchanger pads they were hand cut, they were 1/8" thick.
I ordered pads and hand cut them and installed them at a great savings. There is nothing special about these pads.
Here is where you can find them.

If it is square (#1 on diagram) the is the exhaust manifold to riser gasket. The heat exchanger is the cylinder behind the motor. The rectangular-ish shape is your exhaust manifold /coolant tank.
