We've rebedded EVERYTHING ON THE DECK! Removed the core using a Roto-Zip and keyhole router bit, replaced with thickened epoxy. I need to replace the first and second stbd bukheads because one of the two previous owners, I suspect the first, installed a 16K BTU Cruisair A/C under the v-berth and used a Jigsaw to cut very ugly holes for the ductwork, I mean terrible!! I am going to a smaller unit and not ducting as we will only have A/C in the v-berth. Can I get these from Catalina or H&L Marine? Another bad thing, the speed and depth transducers are under the galley sink! When we pull the boat in 2010, before we move to the ocean in 2011, we will glass these and the engine thru holes over (we will move the engine thru hull to the space just forward of the stbd. aft water tank!) Randy,
I've heard of folks calling up the factory and having some degree of success getting stuff like that from them. I think it's just a matter of giving them a call, and having the opportunity to actually talk to someone down there to see what they can do for you. I've seen people get everything from mast to new sets of interior cushions so I don't see why they couldn't hook you up with a couple bulkheads.
What's the benefit of moving the speed/depth transducers by the way?
I am replacing the port bulkhead (the one aft of the head). After several different calls, I was finally told that they didn't have that bulkhead for my (1998) MK II.
