Greetings:
Can anyone describe the difference between the Universal M35B and M35BC model engines? I am looking at a boat with the M35BC and would like to understand how if differs from the M35B.
Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge the M-35BC is an M-35B that was designated for Catalina Yachts. The M-35BC is wired differently from the M-35B models.

The M-35BC was an actual build by Universal/Westerbeke. Enclosed please find a picture of the engine tag from my boat and a Service Bulletin listing the M35-BC as valid. https://www.westerbeke.com/service%20bulletin/service%20bulletin%20235%2...
Rob is correct. The differences are really in the wiring harness that was designed to mate with the Catalina-supplied NAVPOD panel on MKII boats. With the exception of the wiring diagram, all manuals, parts, and supplies suitable for an M35-B can be used with an M35-BC. The MKII Owners Manual should be used for the wiring reference.
