Copper Coat, award winning anti-fouling

Every time I go to the St. Pete Boat show I am drawn to the booth manned by the Copper Coat people. The product they tout is called "Copper Coat". My understanding is that this is a epoxy based, Copper laden, non-ablative bottom coat that does not absorb water and therefore increase weight like normal paints and most importantly, the claims are that it should last for ten years or more. They even claim bottoms coated with it have lasted 20 years and counting!!! Of course the down side is that its expensive. The  quote they gave me for coating my C36 with the recommended four coats is about $1,000. Of course, if the ten year claims are valid, that might be worth it. They also claim that since the paint doesn't leach off into the water that its more environmentally friendly than the ablatives.
Question I have is have any of you tried Copper Coat and with what success??  I would sure like to have some input from my good friends here before I make this leap.
Thanks
Sam

There is a boat here next to me in the yard at Green Cove Springs marina that has it and he mixed his own. Used epoxy and bought the copper powder online. He did a 34 ft for about $300 he told me. He is touching it up as he did not maintain. But looks very good. Just a thought

When I see the owner again I will find out how long he has had it on.

We had Copper Coat applied to our bottom in Sept 2014. It is a little pricey since all the old paint has to be removed. It cost me about $6000! but I figure if it saves a couple of bottom jobs it will pay for itself. So far it has stayed clean with sailing or motoring after sitting. So far I am satisfied.

Thanks Alex. You are brave to try it. I can't seem to find anyone who has had coppercoat for a few years or more. I'm stalling about spending the extra.
