Lesson Learned

I have always been adament that doing all your own work on your boat teaches you valuable lessons.

After the past few weekends struggling with this stem head fitting failure and all the work to replace it, the lesson is this:

Buy a new boat every 8 years and let someone else deal with it! :D

Let me know how much luck you have finding a new 36 every eight years.

I saw a 385 and 355 for the first time on Saturday, I'm feeling better about the money we just put in to our 36.

Sorry to the folks at Catalina, but, next time I'm in the market, it will have to be a used 42 (2 cabin, fin keel, centerline berth). Or something from another builder.

Bruce has a good point, of course, in that you can't find the same boat you love in a new version. Of well, I guess I just have to keep working on the 'ol girl. ;)
