Re-Bedding chain plate

Do we still have the tread for rebedding the chain paltes, there was a article on this which showed, the whole process. I had printed it but now I cant find the DAMN thing.
Also what ever happened to all our old atricles that we had for years are they available any longer??

Great article
But that isnt the one, the one we had on the old site had all the photos from breaking down the turnbuckle to digging out the old bedding from the chain plates to re-caulikng them and putting the SS plate covers back on

Thanks Though

Jeff,
I'm pretty sure the article you saw was in some other place, as all the articles from the old site were moved to this one (I moved most of them myself!). But, I could be wrong (The Admiral says it happens far too frequently), and here is the link to the "old" site:

Hope this helps??

Jeff,
If you see an article on the "old" site that is not on the new one, please tell me. Don't tell the admiral, but please tell me!

Jeff: I would consider this article to be a minimalist approach to managing leaky chain plates since it does not correct the underlying design problem. We recently posted a thread on how to prepare the deck properly. It is a bit more involved sinced it requires removal of the chainplates but in the end you will end up with leaks far less often and you will eliminate water penetration into the deck if a leak were to reoccur.

No I have already redid the chain plates rhis year, I was looking at the plates they showed as a new type. Figured it would only increase the integreity of the bedding
