awlgrip paint

Hi,
I wanted to get opinions of anyone that may have had the deck (not topsides) awlgrip'ed or know someone who has had their deck awlgriped. I am considering getting someone to repaint both the non-skid and white portion of my boat. the other choice i have is to have another individual apply gel-coat to the deck. so does anyone have either direct or indirect knowledge of having this done professionally and if so any downsides? any thing to watch for? experience on the longevity of the product?

I didn't ask about the cost because it hurts to think about it.

Hi! What did you finally do? Would love to see pictures of nonskid decks restored.

I am doing that very task, looked at awlgrip but chose the 2 part interlux perfection for the white around the windows /bulwarks and KIWI Grip for the nonskid. All the sanding and prep is done, im just waiting for it to warm up a bit to do it

I did kiwigrip and I hate it. After all of the backbreaking prep work it's still regularly flaking off, the 'cream' color that looks beige in the photos is really more of a canary yellow, and it was really messy to work with. If I were to do it again I would use soft sand rubber as shown here by Andy from boatworks today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWqwi2q94pU&t=85s
