Has anyone done a Maxwell VW 800 capstan only to capstan + chain gypsy conversion. 

This is what Maxwell replied to the same query;
"David,
 Back when the VW800 was still in production we did offer a conversion kit for this purpose.
Unfortunately, required are no longer available and the kit was subsequently discontinued. You would need to upgrade to the VW1000.

Trying to avoid a full "upgrade" as the existing 800 works fine. Wondering what was in the original "kit" and if the parts that can be obtained individually. Maybe even an original kit collecting dust somewhere?
