XYZ Anchor

I've seen some discussions on different anchors, including some tests that some have run. One anchor I've not seen much discussion on (although I have seen some articles) is the XYZ Extreme anchor. Does anybody have any experience with this anchor or know anybody who has?

I haven't direct experience with it but in two anchor tests by French mag Voiles & Voilers and the tests done by West Marine/Sail/Yachting it finished at or near the bottom.

We had one on a Catalina 36 we bought last summer. It may be fine in the shallow Chesapeake in mud or sand, but it was useless in our crusing grounds of Lake Champlain, Vt. I think it needs an extreme amount of scope to dig in. Their website shows how well it works on a long chain with a vehicle dragging it down a sandy beach. I would say that was with a scope of near infinity. It does hold the tarp down on our wood pile quite well.

I thought they came with a money-back guarantee.
