This view has Gone With The Wind in the center of the window as you look out. We had not stopped there for approximately 15-20 years and since we were there last they have updated a good portion of the house and offer a walking tour and have built a classroom. My favorite memory of the many earlier visits is the letter from Admiral Perry complaining about the cost to build this home somewhere around $1500 including the main house and the servants quarters

Eagle Island Casco Bay, Maine is the island home of Admiral Perry. I am including a couple of pictures from Aug 2014 when we ventured back. The picture from the outside is of his library and those through the window are inside the library looking out.
