I just noticed what looks like an oil leak around the junction of the cylinder head cover and the engine block. My first inclination is to tighten the bolts holding it. Anyone know the recommended York on these? I'm suspect there is one. If that fails I would probably need to remove it and replace the gasket. It looks easy. Am I missing something?

When you write "cylinder head cover," do you mean the valve cover?

This may help you regardless:
I found this info in the Members' Technical area under "Manuals."
See pic attached; it may have the torque data you wanted.

Agree with MitchMan as to ensuring it's the cylinder head vs. the valve cover. Much more likely to be the valve cover. Replacing the valve cover gasket and tightening is easy. Not true with messing with the cylinder head bolts. If it's the cylinder head bolts that need messing with, then page 43 and 44 here: http://www.westerbeke.com/OnlineManuals/200554_M-25XPB_M35B_M40B_Technic...
Shows loosening sequence, tightening steps, tightening sequence, and final torque. A leaking head gasket is frequently accompanied by exhaust blow-by and water seepage as well.

It's valve cover. What did you mean by exhaust blow by and water seepage? Thanks for manual reference. I didn't see that.

The valve cover gasket only seals oil from leaking on the engine and making a mess. Since this is where you indicate the problem is, then the pages from the manual that I referenced above are not appropriate. The head gasket has a much more complicated job as it seals all of the liquid passages between the cylinder and head (oil and cooling water) and as well as provides a gas barrier for each cylinder. When this gasket is not compressed properly or "blown" you can get a multitude of symptoms, Water seepage is really coolant seepage and exhaust blow-by is really combustion gasses that make it past the part of the gasket that encompasses each cylinder.
