Snug Harbor BC

We are snuggled in Snug Harbor BC (pict 0378) in company of a Catalina 42 from the Sacramento area. This harbor is at Bowen Island in Howe Sound a few miles west of Vancouver BC Canada. The harbor was so pretty that we stayed longer than planned. I recommend it highly. Reaching across the Straight of Georgia from Nanaimo BC to Pender Harbor BC (pict 0431) which is near the entrance to Desolation Sound.

First picture of our new boat!

This is our first pic of the new boat under sail. Taken last weekend near the San Rafael-Richmond Bridge (North San Francisco Bay) it was a wonderful day with temps in the 70’s and winds blowing about 20 mph from the west.

I appreciate you great publication "Mainsheet", and particularly was impressed with the digitally water-colorized cover photo that was used on this latest issue Feb 05, done by (as noted) Landis Productions.

As an avid digital photographer using Adobe Photoshop CS, your cover reminded me of a similar enhanced photo I took last summer at Catalina Island (30 miles south of Los Angeles), of my friends C36 #656 Andante.

Winter Storage at So. Briston, Maine

Just a few winter shots at So. Bristol, Maine at Bittersweet Boat Yard where "Gone with the wind is hauled up for the winter. Today Jan 5, 2005 No clouds clear for miles and about 45 degrees. Had to deliver new fuel tank. Will send more on that later.
