As regards list users going over and checking the forum...
I have used the list for many years. As a former officer for the National Catalina 27 asssociation I found the fraternal support of the Catalina users a strong inducement to stay with the brand when I moved up to the 36 back in '84. Since then I have made some treasured relationships through the list, two in Europe. I hope the good times keep rolling using the scuttlebut or some such vehicle on the forum. It takes a little more initiative on my part to call up the forum each day but not so much that it will dissuade me from becoming active in this new way. I hope Laura and the others do not loose heart over this switch.

Chuck, good to see you here. I think I can safely say that us forum dwellers hope the list serve folks give it a try. Certainly the list serve camaraderie and vibe would be a welcome addition here.
